A new collection of printed apparel!! Bert & George Bear make it to the big times on some fancy shirties, tank tops, dresses, kids tops, baby onsies and tote bags. All available soon on Etsy.

 

 

Also, new job #1:  John Ward Fine Coffee offers delicious traditional Italian style coffees, organic chai, fresh pastries and sandwiches. The coffee is organic, roasted by Origins, from Granville Island.It’s my new fav hangout too.

And, my new Portfolio page! I streamlined a few pages here and created one main place to check out what I’ve been up to, besides making chai lattes.

2011 wall calendars

2011 wall calendars are here – featuring twelve new bears.  The calendar is a simple design, and each one is printed by me, on best quality (special edition) colourful linen cardstock OR, natural coloured eco cardstock. A loop of taffeta is strung at the top for hanging up. Each page easily flips over to the next month. The calendar has a vellum cover. I encourage these calendars to be recycled after use -  and you know, the bears do love to be coloured in!

Calendars along with my collection of greeting cards, are presently available at the stores listed below. They sell for $17 or $22 each (depending on the paper type).

countdown… 4 days to go!

My NEW collection of bear drawings are presently with Jill, my brilliant picture framer, getting all fancy for the show opening on Friday evening. I’m picking some framed pieces up for a photo shoot tomorrow morning, at my venue site – Grounded Coffee House. And, the weather looks sunny and bright through the weekend – YES! Summertimes are here. It’ll be a perfect night for wandering around Nelson enjoying local art and good people.

ARTWALK 2010

Visit Artwalk this summer! – Opening night is July 9th, at 6pm, – the show continues until August 13th. My venue is #6 and is located at Grounded Coffee House – 616 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC (maps of the entire event will be available). There are eight venues in all and each location is representing one, or two artists (16 local artists in all). More ARTWALK info here.

Afterwards, for the evening program, the Nelson & District Arts Council are hosting a Fundraising Gala at The Royal on Baker Street in Nelson, 9pm – Closing time. Live painting (artist TBA) and live music, – including one of my favourite local dj’s – Rafferty Funksmith (YAY!). Admission is a sliding donation of $10-20 at the door (a $20 donation includes 2 raffle tickets). *All proceeds to go to the Artist and to the Nelson and District Arts Council – so come out and support your local arts community!!!
